South Carolina Offers State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program

The State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program provides funding to eligible entities to address cybersecurity risks and threats to information systems owned or operated by, or on behalf of, state, local or tribal governments. The grant funding is intended to help entities manage and reduce cyber risk, thereby improving the security of critical infrastructure and improving the resilience of the services that state, local and tribal governments provide their community.

In South Carolina, the SC Law Enforcement Division is the designated state administrative entity for SLCGP. SLCGP will begin sending emails to entities in South Carolina in mid-June. In prior years, the grant applicant had to complete a proposal worksheet which focused on goals and objectives that would be used to implement a cyber security plan. In 2023, the deadline to submit proposals was in September. The email that SLCGP provides in mid-June will include the 2024 deadline.

Entities interested in applying for the grant should email their contact information to rconnell@sled.sc.gov. For more information on the program visit the SLCGP website or the SLED grants page
