Risk Management Quarterly Q&A: Underwriting Portal Usage

Question: What tasks can SCMIT and SCMIRF members complete online using the underwriting policy portal? 

Answer:  Members have access to the underwriting policy portal which can be used to complete many tasks. Instead of submitting requests and changes by email, the portal can be used to submit the information. This allows for more accurate data submission. Tasks that can be completed in the portal include 

  • endorsement submissions to change, add or delete assets; 
  • Certificate of Insurance requests; 
  • print auto ID cards; 
  • export or print auto, inland marine and property schedules; 
  • view, print or download coverage contracts; 
  • complete and submit yearly renewals; and 
  • print or download underwriting reports.
