Job Duties

Creates, executes, and manages marketing plans to promote municipal services, events, and initiatives. Conducts market research to identify trends, opportunities, and community needs. Works closely with various municipal departments to gather information and promote their programs and services. Coordinates with external vendors and partners for marketing-related services and materials.

Supports city events, including logistics, scheduling, and promotional efforts. Set up, manage, and break down event materials such as banners, signage, booths, and audio/visual equipment. Works on-site at city events to ensure smooth execution, including troubleshooting and providing support as needed. Assists with debriefing meetings.

Produces engaging content for various channels, including social media, websites, newsletters, and print materials. Ensures all communications are consistent with the municipality's brand and message. Manages and grows the municipality's social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Monitors and responds to public feedback and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; supplemented by two to five years of experience in community and economic development, event planning and management, grant administration or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Pay Info
$17.48 To $22.60 Hourly
