Job Duties

Respond to and investigate criminal acts. Patrol jurisdiction to deter criminal activity. Secure crime scenes and preserve evidence for further investigations.

Perform other functions as directed by the Chief or his designee, or anyone in the chain of command. Conduct traffic enforcement and make decisions that are legal, moral and ethical being in compliance with state law, the constitution and departmental policy.

The officer will conduct physical property checks of businesses, by going in checking on employees, management, etc. The officer will attend traffic court and council meetings when needed.

Qualifications

The applicant must have a clear background and will undergo a background check after signing a waiver.

The applicant must have a current Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer Certification through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.

Pay Info
The rate will be based on qualifications, this position has the potential to become a full time position.
