Human Resources Manager, City of Georgetown
Leads and directs all functions of the Human Resources (HR) division. Serves as support staff to the City Administrator and department heads relating to all HR matters. Executes the tasks and activities to ensure the City is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Manages the administrative functions of HR while developing strategic action plans that impact employees citywide. Serves as a member of the Executive Cabinet Team (ECT). Reports to the City Administrator.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business/Public Administration, or a related field with a minimum of five years' experience in a Human Resource Generalist role, with managerial experience, and experience preferably working with elected officials and local government. Master’s degree preferred. Professional in Human Resources(PHR) and/or Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred. Extensive knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws. Proficiency utilizing Microsoft, payroll processing, and HRIS software.
