Job Duties

Respond to and investigate criminal acts. Patrol assigned jurisdiction to reduce criminal activity. Secure crime scenes and preserve evidence for further investigations. Perform other functions as directed by the Chief or his designee. Conduct traffic enforcement and make decisions that are legal, moral and ethical being in compliance with state law, the constitution and departmental policy. The officer will conduct physical property checks of businesses and residences and a property check card will be left at the location. The officer will attend council meetings and traffic court.

Qualifications

The applicant must have a current Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer Certification through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.

The applicant must have a clear background and will undergo a background check after a waiver is signed.

Pay Info
The hourly rate will be based on qualifications.
