Procurement Officer, Town of Hilton Head Island
Join Our Team as the Procurement Officer. The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Officer to oversee the processes associated with the procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities: Provides supervision to assigned staff. Manages and coordinates with Town departments the preparation and issuance of formal solicitations to procure required goods and services. Maintains integrity of procurement process. Develops, drafts and recommends changes to Town Procurement Code. Researches market sources and vendors to locate and ensure most cost effective and competitive pricing.
Prepares and issues solicitations documents. Receives and evaluates proposals and bids. Conducts negotiations with suppliers on proposals, contracts and contract claims. Recommends standard contract clauses. Reviews and executes contracts, purchase orders, change orders, contract amendments and other documents.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Driver’s License
