Paramedic/Firefighter, City of Isle of Palms
Under established protocols or the direct instruction of a physician, applies advanced life support skills to triage, rescue, treat injured or ill persons.
Provides patient care functions, including but not limited to, gathering patient information and medical history, performing patient exams, formulating a plan for treatment, and rendering treatment consistent with patient care protocols and or instructions.
Responds to emergency and non-emergency incidents, that include fire suppression, hazardous material containment, water rescues, natural disasters, motor vehicle accidents or any other incident deemed an emergency.
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED
Possession of a valid driver’s license
Completion of requirements of NFPA, IFSAC or Pro Board for Firefighter I & Firefighter II. And be certified as a Paramedic in the state of South Carolina
