Job Duties

The Project (Civil) Engineer is responsible for overseeing design, construction, and management of land development and capital improvement projects as well as performing technical reviews for public and private sector land development projects.

Prepare proposal documents for engineering contractual services and manage consultants to ensure contractual obligations are met to ensure efficiency and effective use of public funds.

Conduct independent reviews of land development plans and storm water drainage reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with four (4) to six (6) years of engineering design experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience;

Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate required, with attainment of a South Carolina Professional Engineering (PE) License within two years of hiring.

Pay Info
$62,692.50 - 78,370.50 annually
*Starting salary is commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.
Upon attainment of the PE license, employee will receive an additional $4,000.
Individuals who already have a PE will receive this additional compensation as part of their starting salary.
