Wastewater Operator Level "B”, Town of Winnsboro
The purpose of the class is to coordinate and perform the daily operation of assigned water and wastewater collection, distribution and/or treatment systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, and to perform other technical, administrative and supervisory work as required. Must have a general knowledge of operating biological wastewater treatment plants and wastewater collection and water distribution systems. This position is under the general supervision of and reports directly to the Wastewater Director.
Requires general knowledge of wastewater operations or at least two years of experience. Must possess a minimum of Class “B” certification in wastewater treatment or be able to obtain the required level of license within one year of employment obtaining and maintaining the license is a requirement for employment. May require additional technical certification(s) as deemed necessary by Wastewater Director. This position will be required to work on-call rotation.
