8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some work on weekends as needed.
Job Duties

This is a highly involved and integral position that is responsible for conducting on-site inspections of buildings, properties, and public facilities in Ravenel to ensure compliance with Town codes and regulations. Serves citations, warnings, or notices upon property owners regarding violations if necessary. Posts public notifications regarding zoning activities as required by Ravenel Zoning Code. Receives and responds to complaints from the public. Responsible for filing maintenance work orders as necessary with SCDOT, or Public Works.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of town owned properties, buildings, equipment, and surrounding environment. Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of facilities, such as receiving and evaluating quotes and/or bids from outside vendors. Oversees work performed by outside vendors to ensure work quality is acceptable and adheres to specifications. This includes coordination, direction, granting access, assisting, scheduling, evaluating, and approval of any work as directed and/or deemed necessary.

Responsible for scheduling parks and recreation activities, and prepares facilities for changing weather conditions.

Qualifications

The successful, experienced, candidate will have experience in code enforcement and zoning inspections, building codes, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Microsoft Office, professional communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills are critical. Must have the ability and willingness to work collaboratively with other staff, contractors, vendors, and the general public. Must be detailed oriented, and have the ability to multi-task with a strong level of accuracy.

Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

Pay Info
Salary will be dependent upon qualifications.
