This scholarship opportunity is available to participating Main Street SC programs at the Classic, Aspiring and Accredited levels in good standing. To be in good standing, applicants must complete the previous year's monthly reinvestment reporting and updated Main Street work plans.

Four $500 grants are available to support local program professional development needs. Recipients may not use a scholarship for indirect costs. Recipients must use the scholarship for professional coursework or professional workshops related to Main Street education focused on economic development, placemaking, arts & innovation, board development, historic preservation, etc. 

Scholarships are available for reimbursement of professional development expenses of up to $500.

One scholarship per person per organization per year may be awarded. 

Applicants will be rated based on their needs and anticipated application of knowledge attained.

If awarded, a final report and brief presentation are required. 

The deadline to apply is December 1 or until the funds are depleted.
