Job Duties

Prepare engaging and informative content for various platforms, including press releases, website usage, social media posts, newsletters, and other communication materials. Plan, script, film, and edit videos that effectively convey our organization's key messages and stories. This may include interviews, event coverage, project highlights, and promotional videos. Capture high-quality photographs that visually represent our organization's activities, events, projects, and people. Ensure that images are visually appealing and convey the desired message.

Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, and stakeholders to gather information, identify storytelling opportunities, and ensure accurate representation of our organization's work. Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity, and tone of voice across all communication channels. Maintain brand guidelines and monitor content for compliance with organizational standards.

Serve as a public information officer when needed by responding to events and media inquiries, coordinating media interviews, and writing media releases. Create visually appealing and shareable content for various social media platforms. Provide support during organizational events, including live coverage, capturing photographs and videos, and producing content for post-event promotion.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in content writing, videography, and photography. Proficiency in video and photo editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop or similar tools. Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practices for content creation and engagement.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Creative mindset and the ability to think strategically about storytelling and visual representation.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Streaming experience a plus.
