Superintendent of Operations, Town of Chapin
This position is under the general supervision of and reports directly to the Deputy Director of Utilities. This position directly supervises Utility Operators. This position regularly interacts with other governmental agencies, consulting engineers, utility contractors, other Town Departments, and the general public. This position may be assigned special projects and other responsibilities as required.
Requires Bachelor's degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in environmental engineering, biology, chemistry or closely related field or the equivalent combination of experience and training as required to obtain the required environmental operator’s license. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Requires a minimum of six years’ experience.
Must possess a Class “B” Biological Wastewater Treatment System Operator’s license and have the ability to obtain a Class “A” Biological Wastewater Treatment System Operator’s license, Class “C” Water Treatment Operator license and a Class “C” Water Distribution Operator license within one (1) year of employment.
