Senior Stormwater Project Manager, Town of Hilton Head Island
The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Stormwater Project Manager to manage the planning, design, permitting, and construction of public storm water infrastructure projects.
What You Will Do: Manage the planning, design, permitting, & construction of stormwater infrastructure CIP, rehabilitation, & corrective maintenance projects. Manage the Storm Water Utility’s Corrective Maintenance Program. Prepare RFP's & qualifications, scopes of work & cost estimates. Design & manage in-house infrastructure projects. Manage on-call contracts for professional services, construction, maintenance, repair & rehabilitation of stormwater infrastructure. Inspect & document contractor work ensuring conformance to construction documents, plans, specifications.
Assist in developing and managing the Town-wide storm water maintenance and capital improvement projects. Assist in the development of the annual budget and manages budgets for construction and maintenance projects. Coordinate with utility companies on Town projects and utility projects to mitigate potential conflicts, evaluate design alternatives, minimize impacts and reduce costs. Assist in the acquisition of easements, rights of entry, ordering plats, working with the Town Attorney’s office, and communicating with property owner.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field - Eight (8) years of related, progressively responsible experience, with considerable experience in engineering design, project management; construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Valid Driver’s License - Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector (SC DHEC) preferred - Certified Post-construction BMP Inspector (SC DHEC) preferred
