Job Duties

The City of Camden is hiring a Part-Time Information Specialist (24 hours per week) for the Revolutionary War Visitor Center. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with visitors, support educational programs, and assist with various events and social media initiatives in a dynamic, historical setting.

As part of this role, you will engage with visitors, providing them with insightful information about the Revolutionary War and the exhibits at the Visitor Center. You will also assist with managing and creating content for the center’s social media platforms. In addition, you’ll support the planning and execution of events held at the Visitor Center, helping ensure their success. You will also guide and support school groups during educational tours, ensuring they have a memorable and informative experience.

Qualifications

We are seeking a passionate individual with a love for history and a commitment to public engagement. The ideal candidate should be willing to work weekends and occasional holidays, with strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Experience with social media and content creation is a plus. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. This role offers an opportunity to share knowledge about the Revolutionary War with visitors of all ages.
