Job Duties

• Perform Administrative Judge duties for offenses occurring within the Town limits, i.e., issue arrest, bench, and search/seizure warrants on defendants for Municipal and General Sessions court, ensuring probable cause is met.

• Prepares and executes arrest warrants, bond paperwork and handling of bond hearings. • Responsible for having general availability, while on duty, to execute search warrants and emergency search warrants, as needed

• Responsible for coordinating with other staff to set a schedule for working weekends to serve as the “on-duty” municipal judge as well as additional weekdays per month to assist in the judicial function of the Court. • Attends all training and Judicial CLE requirements as required. • Performs related duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.

 

Pay Info
$11,940.50/annually (Paid out as salaried, bi-weekly paychecks)
