Facilities and Special Program Coordinator, Town of James Island
The Town of James Island, SC is accepting resumes for a full-time Facilities and Special Program Coordinator. A list of duties includes: maintenance of parks, facilities, grounds, tools and equipment, rights-of-way, signage, vegetation and drainage, assist in the acquisition, deployment, planning and inspection of Town assets, serve as a member of the Emergency Management Team, work directly with the Mayor to identify, plan, implement, and evaluate special programs and projects, design and execute programming for public facing elements of the Town, collaborate with staff and community to ensure the successful operation of ongoing or newly developed efforts, assist in obtaining compliance of grant efforts, conduct community meetings, compile and present information to the public and interest groups, monitor and evaluate the completion of goals for parks, facilities and programs, train Town employees on systems related to programs and projects.
Knowledge of proper safety procedures, good crew management skills, experience in one or more building trades, ability to use Microsoft Office programs for communication and record keeping. Valid SC Driving license, ability to use machinery and landscaping is required. Other duties may be assigned and hours may vary.
