Environmental Coordinator, City of North Augusta
Under general supervision, performs advanced technical-level work to meet the goals of the City’s Stormwater Management Program. Reports to the Superintendent of Stormwater Management. Acts as a supervisor to maintenance staff; training, instructing, assigning and reviewing work of field staff to maintain stormwater infrastructure and compliance with regulations. Performs technical review for compliance with city stormwater ordinances and state CGP requirements of site plans and specifications for new and re-development projects; issues land disturbance stormwater permit(s).
Inspects permitted construction sites for stormwater permit compliance. Writes inspection reports, notices of violations (NOVs), and conducts enforcement activities to bring sites into compliance with permit and city ordinances. Conducts seminars, workshops, field trips, or training events for engineers, contractors, general public, schools (K-College level), coworkers, and public officials. Develops environmental education materials such as brochures, newsletters, signage, posters for public distribution. Etc.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or a related technical degree and three years of responsible experience in stormwater, utility operations; or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Possession of a valid driver's license required. Must possess or be able to acquire a CSWPR certification within the first six months. Must possess or be able to acquire a CEPSCI certification within the first six months.
