Job Duties

Supervises the Development Services Division personnel and operations. Coordinates and evaluates the work of assigned staff to ensure the highest level of customer service standards, expectations, and timelines are met. Oversees the administration of the development review, permitting, business licensing (including hospitality and accommodations tax programs), and code enforcement processes including formulating and revising policies, practices and procedures to enhance efficiencies and improve customer service.

Responds to customer issues or concerns relating to personnel and operations within the division. Coordinates with other Town departments to develop amendments to the Town Code of Ordinances and Zoning Ordinance as it relates to functions within the division. Oversees the Town’s Development Review Team process, including coordinating meetings, developing agendas, and running the meetings.

Maintains metrics on division functions and provides reporting to Town Administration on a monthly and annual basis. Supervises the implementation of new technology and software programs as they relate to division functions. Researches new laws, regulations, best practices, etc. for the purpose of maintaining compliance with the law and providing excellence in the divisions functions Performs related duties.

Qualifications

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of a bachelor’s degree in in a course of study related to the occupational field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Sufficient experience to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the department in order to direct and coordinate work within the department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience.

Or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license.

Pay Info
Salary range of $70,751.42 - $107,565.65/annually
