Assistant City Administrator, City of Seneca
Under supervision of the City Administrator, will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our city and its services. You will work closely with the City Administrator, elected officials, and department heads to develop policies and strategies that align with our community's needs and goals. As the Assistant City Administrator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community and help shape its future.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of city departments, financial reports, public works, and public safety.
Assist in developing and executing strategic plans and policies that promote economic vitality, community engagement, and sustainable growth. Assist in managing departmental budgets, expenditures, and revenues to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability. Collaborate with the City Administrator, elected officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify and address community needs and priorities. Serve as a liaison with the City Administrator between the city and other government agencies, community organizations, and business entities.
Assist in promoting transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness in city operations and holding employees accountable for delivering high-quality services. Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as city policies and procedures. Assist in overseeing department heads, providing support to city staff, and promoting a culture of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. Represent the city at local, regional, and national conferences, meetings, and events. Perform other duties as assigned by the City Administrator or City Council.
EXPERIENCE: 1 - 5 years (preferred).
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required MPA or MBA (preferred).
